From hazardous shower to accessible walk-in bath

Mrs Merrick had always enjoyed bathing but Arthritis in her knees meant not only getting upstairs to her bathroom was difficult, getting in and out of her bath was even more hazardous. Living alone, Mrs Merrick was reliant on her daughter to help her use the shower in her downstairs en-suite instead. Fed up of “making do”, Mrs Merrick wanted to enjoy a bath again without relying on anyone else, so decided to get in touch.

The Solution:

Our product specialist recommended that we replace Mrs Merrick’s en-suite shower with an accessible Comfort Walk in bath.

With a low access inward opening door, Mrs Merrick would be able to get in and out of her bath easily and exit independently. Add to this the safety and comfort of the non-slip floor and integrated seat, Mrs Merrick knew that this would be the perfect solution for her current difficulties.

The Outcome:

Mrs Merrick is now able to enjoy a renewed sense of independence when bathing. Mrs Merrick has a more practical and accessible space for bathing which she will be able to use independently for years to come.

What Mrs Merrick said about Assistive Bathing:

“I’m absolutely thrilled, it’s so lovely to be able to sit in my new walk in bath and relax. The installation was fitted in less than a day with no mess left afterwards. Me and my family now have peace of mind that I can bathe safely and independently .I really wish I had brought it years ago and have already recommended it to many of my friends.”
